In 1934, Einstein's stepdaughter Ilse was dying of tuberculosis in Paris and her mother, Elsa, went to Paris to tend to her. After Ilse died, Elsa had her daughter's ashes sewn into a cushion which she snuck back into the United States under her clothing. She kept this ash pillow for sleeping, in order to feel close to her daughter on nightly basis until her own death.

Placing Ashes in Your Plush Urn

Each urn has a zippered compartment in back for the safe placement and secure storage of cremated remains.

Cleaning

All fabrics are pre-washed using an eco-friendly soap. To clean your Plush Urn Pal, remove your ashes from the urn pouch. Using a mild soap, apply cleaner lightly, and wipe clean with dampened cloth or sponge. Air dry. Do not use a dryer, do not dry clean, do not immerse in liquid.
